History
GreenAcres/Crestwood Pool was established in 1968 by a group of neighbors who joined their resources and built the pool. The organization has always been a non-profit entity (501c7) but at first every member held a share of stock that could be sold or transferred. Because of IRS interpretation of our organization's structure the stock holding system has had to give way to a regular membership. Green Acres/Crestwood Pool Corporation continues to operate for and by its members. Our by laws were created in 1969 and were last amended in 2019. Click here to view our current by laws.
Volunteer
The pool relies on you to keep it running smoothly and efficiently. Typical opportunities to help are attending a two-hour volunteer day either at the beginning or the end of the pool season. These days include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning and setting up deck furniture
Pressure washing the deck
Cleaning the bathrooms
Yard work
Pool Cover Removal and Installation
Board
The Board of Directors are simply members who volunteer more of their time to work for the good of the pool community. In order to work best on your behalf, we appreciate suggestions, input, and possible solutions to concerns. If you are interested in serving on the board, please let us know. If you wish to simply join a board meeting, you are welcome to come anytime!
